Repurposed...Again

I have had this wooden crate for many years now and I have used it for many different things over the years as well.  Currently I am using it as my coffee and tea center with the cubbies holding various bottled items.  The tea set is from Johnson Bros. and the pattern is Old Britain Castles.  This was the very first set of dishes I began collecting and still I am always looking for hard to find or unique pieces in this pattern.

I also did some rearranging in the living room and moved a small side table in front of the window, but now Dallas, my little Yorkie, likes to think this is his lookout spot.  He does spend a lot of time looking out the window.

Tea Time Tuesday

This is my first time to participate in Tea Time Tuesday and I am hoping I will get better at it as I continue.  I have been following Sandi's blog, Rose Chintz Cottage, for over a month now and fell in love with her blog and features.  Sandi hosts Tea Time Tuesday every week and it is always so exciting to see all the beautiful tea time links.

For my first post, I started out small and simple, but wanted to use my Rose Chintz pattern to compliment Sandi on her wonderful taste!  I made simple blueberry scones and a black currant tea for a relaxed afternoon tea with my husband.  I added just a little sugar to my tea, which I thought accentuated the berry flavor, so I had butter with my scone while my husband on the other hand left his tea unsweetened, but dolloped a big spoonful of double Devon cream and blueberry jam on his scone.  Yum!

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Summer Afternoons

Hello again!  I wanted to write a quick post to let you all know I have had some technical difficulties over here.  Unfortunately my hard drive crashed over Memorial Day Weekend and I lost all of my crucial information.  I sent my hard drive to a data recovery company and they were able to recover almost all of my data which I received this past Monday.  It is taking me some time to go back through and organize all of my data, including re-installing a lot of programs, so please hang in there and don't give up on me.  Having over a month off from blogging has given me a lot of time to think about the direction and content I would like my blog to have, so look for some fun additions coming such as more home decor, antiques, vintage finds, more altered items and lots more artwork!
