Bo Bunny Mini Album

I am sharing this too cute mini album I made using the BoBunny Little Miss paper collection.  I followed along with the 4 week blog class and had such a fun time putting this cutie together.  I have a special "pink tea party" planned for my two nieces, so those sweet pictures are reserved for this album.  If you would like to make the Little Miss album, click here and scroll down the page until you find it.  There is a complete shopping list and then a link to each week's video class.  Enjoy!

Simple Stories Layout

This two page layout was made using the Simple Stories Generations collection.  This is probably one of my favorite paper collections and I have had it tucked away for awhile since I hated to cut into it.  I finally took the plunge and am so happy I did since I LOVE how it turned out.  I used the matching stickers as well and used various punches to make the tags and tabs.

My New Studio

I am absolutely smitten with my new studio space.  It is bright and cheerful and cozy.  It would originally have been a bedroom, on the second floor, but I picked it out as my studio since it has east and south windows for plenty of natural light.  It has been quite a process unpacking all my things since our move, but slowly, it started to come together.  It is not yet as organized as I would like it, but, it may never be.  I will just enjoy it!

Cards

Two quick cards to share with you today.

The Mother's Day card was inspired by the May 2012 issue of CardMaker magazine.  I loved the simply stitched alphabet that had a DIY, but I was too lazy, so I just search online for stitched fonts and I found this really cute blanket stitch font, but I can't remember which site I downloaded it from since I visited so many.

Supplies:

Paper:  Kraft Cardstock (Papertrey Ink), Patterned paper all from My Mind's Eye Howdy Doody except sheet music print which is from My Mind's Eye Follow your Heart.

Stamps:  Hero Arts Printer Type

Inks: Copics B000 and B13

Tools:  Stampin' Up! flower punches and tiny circle, Papertrey Ink flower dies and Limitless Layers circle dies.

Embellishments:  Button, pins and lace from stash.

This next card is another card inspired by Mish.  I think I have found a new favorite paper!

Supplies:

Paper:  Rustic Cream Cardstock (Papertrey Ink), Howdy Doody (My Mind's Eye), plain notebook paper.

Stamps:  Take Note and Mat Stack 3 for sentiment (Papertrey Ink)

Inks:  Juniper (CTMH)  The mist spray I mixed to get a color match and I used so many blues and greens I can't even remember them all.  Let's just say this is a one of a kind color because I probably will never be able to create it again.

Tools:  Butterfly punch, circle punches (Stampin' Up!), scallop border die (Papertrey Ink), Tim Holtz tiny stapler

Embellishments:  Vintage button (Papertrey Ink), baker's twine from stash.

Etsy shop update

New FUN PACKAGING now up in my etsy shop. I have a great selection of cute little paper bags in different colors and patterns. These are awesome to use on scrapbook pages to hold journaling cards or use them in cards as gift card holders. I punch holes along the sides to add them to my mini-albums. Use them for goodie bags or wedding favors. The possibilities are endless! Here are a few examples of what I have available. To see more, visit me on Etsy here.

Sketch Layout

I used two sketches from PageMaps to create this two page layout.

The left page is from October 2011 and the right is Jan. 2012.  I modified them slightly to create a two page layout.

Supplies:

Paper:  Colonial White Cardstock (CTMH), Vintage, Accent Cuts and Curtains from Crate Paper Random Collection, Orange Mini Dot from Simple Stories Fabulous, Ashtyn polkadot from 3 Bugs in a Rug and Apple Orchard from Basic Grey Picadilly collection.

Other:  Doilies from stash, crochet flowers from Petaloo, foam letters from Pink Paislee

Dies:  Spellbinders circles and scallop circles.

Have a great Wednesday!

Some Fun Storage

I wanted to share a couple of fun little storage ideas that I am currently using in my studio.

First, a sweet little tea set.  I am using the teapot to store my most used tools that I like to keep close at hand.  The creamer holds my tombow and adhesives.  One of the teacups holds little odds and ends.

I am using these inexpensive toile planters to hold my copics, but they could be used to hold markers, pens, tools, rulers etc.

Just ignore all the mess :-)
